FACIAL CONTOURING

Facial contouring

Bone does not grow back. So we cut less of it.

Facial contouring before and after — case 480
BEFOREAFTER

Facial contouring is hard to undo. We check nerve position and bone thickness on CT, plan the osteotomy around that, and leave untouched what does not need cutting. It is the longest recovery of any category here, so plan the trip generously.

HONEST FIRST

Who this suits — and who it does not

Hiding the cases we turn away in a footnote is not honesty, it is a disclaimer. If the right-hand column describes you, we will say so in the consultation.

This usually helps if

The conditions we most often confirm during consultation.

  • Cheekbones that project sideways and make the face read as wide from the frontSee 24 cases with this concern
  • A square mandible angle that gives the face a harder impression
  • A short or asymmetric chin that breaks the profile lineSee 11 cases with this concern
  • You can stay in Korea two weeks or more for follow-up

We do not recommend surgery if

Cases where we postpone surgery or suggest another route first.

  • The cause is soft tissue rather than bone — we suggest liposuction or a lift first
  • Facial bone growth is not yet complete
  • A schedule too short to stay through the swelling and the follow-up visits
  • An uncontrolled systemic or bleeding disorder

TECHNIQUES

Facial contouring is not one operation

Several different techniques sit under the name Facial contouring. Which one applies depends on what the examination finds, and each carries its own recovery. Below are the operations we actually perform in this category.

Stay in Korea

5–7 days

  1. Jawline and submental liposuction

Fat under the chin and along the jawline is removed to bring back a defined line. It is the shortest recovery in facial contouring — and it does nothing for loose skin, which we will tell you if that is what we see.

    Back to daily life5–7 days

Stay in Korea

7–10 days

  1. Endoscopic forehead lift

Through small incisions behind the hairline the brow is lifted and the forehead released, opening the eyes without touching the lids. When the brow has dropped, upper-lid surgery alone leaves the real cause in place.

Stay in Korea

10–14 days

  1. Cheekbone reduction

The zygomatic arch is cut and repositioned inward and back, narrowing the face at its widest point. This is real bone surgery: the swelling is measured in weeks, not days, and there is no short version of it.

    Back to daily life14–21 days

  2. Jaw angle reduction

The mandible is reshaped along a long curve rather than cut off square, so the jawline stays continuous from ear to chin. A square cut is exactly what makes a face look operated on from the side.

    Back to daily life14–21 days

  3. Chin surgery (genioplasty)

The chin bone is moved forward, back, up or down to bring the lower third of the face into proportion. Chin position often does more for a profile than the nose does — which surprises most patients.

The number international patients need before anything else. From the day swelling peaks to the final result — nothing left out.

Risks and side effects

Every operation carries possible side effects, including bleeding, infection, swelling, asymmetry, scarring and anesthesia-related risks, and both recovery time and results differ from person to person. Please confirm with your surgeon during consultation whether a procedure is suitable for you.

A few photos are enough to start. We'll tell you what is possible, what it would cost, and how many days you would need in Seoul — in English, before you book anything.
